School Asphalt Parking Lot




Kiski Upper Elementary, a STEM school (with curriculum focused on science, technology, engineering and math), is the result of a $20 million renovation and enlargement of the former North Washington Elementary school in Export, PA. In order to extend the life of the pavements around the school the architectural firm
of Canzian/Johnston & Associates specified FORTA-FI® into the existing designs. The parking lots were constructed using a 1 1/2" 9.5 mm wearing course and the bus loop which encompasses the school was paved with a 3" 9.5 mm wearing course, both utilizing FORTA-FI® HMA.
